Presentation

Our Master's Degree in Statistical and Computational Information Processing is offered jointly by Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, within the framework of the Campus de Excelencia Internacional de Moncloa. This program inherits the structure and goals of the PhD program in Statistical, Mathematical and Computational Methods for Information Processing, offered jointly by both Universities since 2005. Students who get this Master's Degree may enter the research period of the aforementioned PhD program.

The main goal of this Master's Degree is the acquisition of advanced skills in Statistics, Mathematics and Computation for Information Processing, with emphasis on topics such as data mining, graphs and networks, Bayesian inference, neural systems, queuing theory, financial mathematics or soft computing, among others. Students succeeding in this program will get not only a deep understanding of these topics from a theoretical point of view but also a solid training in their applications from both academic and professional standpoints.
